We make films that bring people together.

At
The Common Studio we work with purpose-led brands to craft honest cinematic
stories that build community.

The common thread? We do everything in-house, so it feels less like a production line and more like collaborating with a team you’ve known for years.

About

Based in the UK we are a studio drawn to environmental doers, cultural experimenters, and anyone trying to make the world a little better. We start by listening to people, places, histories, and the feeling beneath the facts.

From story development to filming and editing, we craft work that’s purposeful but always human. We follow ideas into unexpected corners, exploring the tiny, the playful, and the quietly powerful moments most people overlook.

We partner with NGOs, mission-led brands and grassroots organisers to rethink how stories about climate, culture, and connection are told.

We are built on a simple belief: stories can shape culture, so they deserve time, care, and real connection.

Discover Your Story

We start by listening, properly listening. What matters? What’s at stake? What do you actually want people to feel? This is where we find the real story hiding underneath the “brand version.”

Shape the Creative

Once we’ve found the heart, we turn it into a cinematic idea. Tone, structure, visual style, characters, world-building, all the fun bits that make a story feel like you.

Bring It to Life

Then we make the thing. Thoughtfully, collaboratively, and all in-house. Filming, editing, sound, social-friendly cuts,  everything you need for a story that actually connects with your community.

Some of our
   favourite posts

We believe purpose-led stories deserve simplicity, sincerity and a team that actually gets you.

Your Story Evolved, But Your Content Didn’t.

Your current films and posts still tell the “old you,” not who you’ve become and the storytelling you want to do keeps getting pushed aside by real work and real deadlines.

Your Team’s Too Busy Being Brilliant

You’re surrounded by brilliant humans who care deeply but are stretched thin, leaving no real time or headspace to craft the stories your work deserves.

You’re Craving Something More Human

Agencies have overcomplicated things. You’re craving stories that feel genuine made with people who listen, understand your mission, and won’t flatten your voice.

If any of this sound like you?  You’re in good company. This is exactly why we built,

The Common Studio.

“A strong point of view, emotional sensitivity, and deep humanity come through in every frame.”

What We Make

Branded & Social content

We make simple, honest films for your feed from casting and shooting to editing and finishing the kind that feel natural, not noisy, and actually say something.

Commercial Film

You bring the idea, we bring the crew: casting, shooting, direction, editing everything it takes to turn your concept into a film people watch and feel.

Documentary Film

We hang out with real people, film their stories on location, edit with care, add sound and storytelling and deliver documentary films that are grounded, human, and resonate.

Our Story

Our         Story

The Common Studio was founded by filmmakers who wanted stories to feel more human. After a decade working with global brands, NGOs and community projects, we learned that the best stories happen when people are genuinely listened to. We built a studio around that belief.

Alongside our commercial work, we became increasingly involved in the global Rights of Nature movement, documenting communities protecting rivers, forests and ecosystems. That work grew into Dirt or Earth, our ongoing storytelling project celebrating those defending the living world.

Today, The Common Studio sits where these two paths meet: cinematic brand storytelling and environmental narrative work.

We help purpose-led teams communicate with clarity and emotional depth, while continuing to make films that honour land, culture and community.

Not sure we’re the right fit? Totally okay.

In the meantime, here are a few things to get the creative juices flowing some of our favourite ways to loosen up, spark ideas, and have a little fun with storytelling.

Hey, I’m Coral,

Filmmaker, director, storyteller, and founder of The Common Studio. I’m either out in the wild chasing a story or glued to my laptop with too many tabs open. No real middle ground.

I started as a runner in big agencies, hauling coffees and learning fast. Since then, filmmaking has taken me from edit suites to mountain roads, from boardrooms to coastlines, and eventually into movements fighting for the rights of nature. The journey changed me as much as the stories did.

What I’ve learned is this: filmmaking is about people. The slow conversations, the shared snacks, the trust that builds when a story is made together. That’s the heart of this studio.

Now I get to work with an incredibly talented team of cinematographers, producers, editors, and storytellers who bring intention, humour, and a ridiculous amount of skill to every project. Whether I’m directing in the rain or squinting at my laptop in a noisy café, I’m still obsessed with uncovering what a story really wants to become.

If you’re holding a story rooted in place, purpose, or possibility, I’d love to explore it with you.
